Mohatta Palace
Mohatta Palace is named after its founder, the Mohatta Palace was built between 1933 and 1935 by Shivratan Chandratan Mohatta. It was used as the residence of Fatimah Jinnah, the sister of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. It was occupied by the government for a variety of odd purposes after the formation of Pakistan, then by Fatima Jinnah from 1964 to 1967, after which it fell a victim of neglect and decay.

The government of Karachi recently conducted extensive restoration work on the property, and it now houses a museum dedicated to preserving the history of Sindh.

Sindh is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. The traditional capitals Hyderabad and Thatta were replaced by Karachi in 1936.
